Pain Management


Injections of certain anesthetics can be used to alleviate  acute and chronic pain in the spine and joints which may be associated with injury, surgery, chronic conditions (like arthritis) or symptoms of illness.  The type of injection is chosen based on  your medical history, physical and neurologic examination, and after a Digital Radiography (X-RAY) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is performed to evaluate area causing pain.

UDMI performs the following outpatient pain management procedures:

  • Epidural Injection
  • Facet Joint Injection
  • Nerve Blocks
  • Median Branch Blocks
  • Hip, Shoulder, Knee, and small joint (e.g. wrist) injections
  • Sacroiliac Joint Injection
